RSPCA Ashley Heath is trying to reunite a pet corn snake with its owner after it was found roaming around Corfe Mullen.
The snake is described as 4ft with orange-coloured skin.
It is unsure whether the snake, which was brought in by a member of the public from the Corfe Mullen area, is a male or female.
Posters from the RSPCA have been seen around the area where the snake was found.
The harmless reptile has been in the care of the RSPCA since April 10.
Now, the Ashley Heath branch is spreading the news on social media in hopes of returning the snake to its rightful owner.
A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: “This beautiful corn snake has been found in the Corfe Mullen area and is now under our care.
“Please contact us if you know of any owner looking for them.
“If no owner is found we will be looking for a new home for them.”
