POLICE rushed to an incident at a Swanage caravan park this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Swanage Bay View Holiday Park off Priests Road shortly after midday on Wednesday, April 17.
Officers say a woman had been assaulted by a man who was known to her.
Her injuries are currently not believed to be serious, but she is currently being looked after by officers.
Meanwhile the man has been detained.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 12.33pm that a woman had been assaulted by a man who was known to her at the Swanage Bay View Holiday Park.
“Officers have attended and are with the victim. She is not believed to have suffered serious injuries.
“A man has been detained in connection with the incident.”
One witness said they saw four or five police vehicles race to the caravan park.
Police officers left the scene at around 2.30pm.
