A FIRE broke out in a garage in Bournemouth this evening.

Fire crews were called to the fire in Magna Road at 6.35pm this evening, Friday, April 12.

A crew from Redhill Park fire station and a crew from Westbourne fire station were in attendance.

A spokesperson for the fire service reported that there were no injuries, but the garage is ‘quite badly damaged’ by the fire.

The blaze was extinguished by fire fighters using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one main jet.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 18.25 this evening, control received several calls regarding a garage attached to a property on fire.

"Crews from Redhill and Westbourne attended the incident and extinguished the fire using two Breathing Apparatus, one Hose Reel Jet and one Main Line.

"Crews then removed tiles from the garage to cool down the garage.

"Everyone was out of the property and no rescues were had to be made."
