POLICE have seized two imitation firearms and two batons from a shop in Bournemouth. 

Two imitation firearms and two batons were seized from Bournemouth Pawn, Westover Road, on April 11 with three people arrested in relation to the incident. 

Police reportedly arrived on the scene at 3pm with forensics, armed police and police dogs in attendance at one point.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "In relation to a reported theft from a vehicle in Bourne Avenue in Bournemouth on Thursday 11 April 2024, officers carried out enquiries at a shop in Westover Road.

"Following enquiries, a man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a firearm.

"A second man and a woman, both from Poole, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to handling stolen goods, conspiracy to possession of offensive weapon and conspiracy to possession of a firearm.

"A search of the shop was carried out and two batons and two imitation firearms were seized.

"An investigation is ongoing and officers will be in the area carrying out enquiries."

Police were seen again on April 12 and left at some point early afternoon.
