A CAR crashed into a lamppost and ended up on its side on a busy road in Poole

Emergency services were called to the A350 Holes Bay Road at around 7am on April 12. 

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the driver who who was then handed to the ambulance service. 

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to Holes Bay Road, Poole at 6.57am this morning (12 April) for a one vehicle road traffic collision.

"Two crews from Poole attended and found the car on its side; they used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the driver, who was then handed into the care of the ambulance service. Our stop was at 7.39am."

The fire service reported only one casualty was involved. 

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 6.57am on Friday 12 April 2024, Dorset Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A350 Upton Road in Poole.

"It is reported that a car collided with a lamppost. Officers are in attendance, with the fire and ambulance services.

"The road reopened at around 9.15am and arrangements have been made for the recovery of the vehicle."
