OVER 290 cannabis plants were discovered after a raid at a Bournemouth property.

Officers seized roughly 300 plants inside a property on Palmerston Road.

The plants were found tucked into a room in the property, being grown by overhead lighting.

A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “This week, Police Officers from the Boscombe Neighbourhood Policing Team located a cannabis factory inside a property on Palmerston Road.

“This was a significant operation and approximately 300 plants were located inside the property. The factory has been dismantled and all the cannabis has now been seized.

“This is a substantial seizure that will have an impact on the organised criminals responsible, depriving them of commodity and profit.
