OFFICERS have opened an investigation after two expensive road bikes were stolen from a shed in Wareham.

An olive grey Trek Rail 5 electric bicycle and a similar coloured Trek Remedy 8 mountain pedal cycle were stolen from a shed.

The burglary is believed to have occurred between the night of March 27 and the early hours of March 28.

Now, officers are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Police Constable Matt Wellaway, of Dorset Police, said: “We are investigating to identify who is responsible for this burglary and reunite the owners with their stolen property.

“As part of our enquiries, I am issuing images of the stolen bikes and would urge anyone who comes across these or who has seen matching bicycles being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances to please contact us.”
