A WOMAN has reported being sexually assaulted in Bournemouth town centre.
The victim, in her 20s, attended Royal Bournemouth Hospital with minor injuries following an incident in the early hours of Wednesday, April 10.
Police have reason to believe the woman was sexually assaulted in Fir Vale Road, opposite Cameo night club.
However, not all details are clear and detectives are speaking with the woman to establish the full circumstances.
A cordon was placed on the pavement outside a solicitor's office guarded by police officers while forensic officers examined the scene.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "Dorset Police received a third-party report at 4.53am on Wednesday 10 April 2024 that a woman aged in her 20s had sustained minor injuries and attended the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in Castle Lane East.
"The full circumstances are yet to be confirmed and detectives are speaking with the woman to find out what happened and provide appropriate support.
"It is reported that the woman had been sexually assaulted in Fir Vale Road earlier in the morning.
"A cordon was put in place while an examination of the scene was carried out and enquiries were taking place. No arrests have been made."
