A WOMAN woke up and found an intruder in the kitchen of her house in the early hours of the morning.

At around 2.20am on Wednesday, March 13, the woman woke up after hearing a disturbance at her property in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth.

She then found a man in the kitchen.

He immediately left when challenged, and it is not believed anything was taken from inside the address.

It was then also discovered a lock to the shed in the victim’s garden had been broken, with entry gained into the shed.

It is not believed anything was stolen from the shed, either.

Now, officers investigating the burglary are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify.

Police constable Kieran Neville, of Bournemouth police, said: “This must have been a very distressing incident for the victim to wake and find an intruder in her property and we are carrying out detailed enquiries to identify the man involved.

“I am now in a position to release an image of a man we would like to identify and would urge anyone with information relating to his identify to please contact us.”
