A MAN suffered a head injury after he was pushed into a lift in Bournemouth town centre.
The victim, in his 60s, was assaulted at the Richmond Gardens shopping centre (formerly Dalkeith arcade) in Old Christchurch Road.
Police say he was involved in an “altercation” with another man before was shoved into the lift where he suffered a minor head injury.
Now police are appealing for witnesses to the incident reported at around 3.30pm on Monday, February 5.
Police constable Robert Roaf, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and we have been carrying out CCTV enquiries in the area.
“I am now in a position to issue an image of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
