HIGH end watches, vintage cars and Asian art are among the items going under the hammer at a Dorset auction in April.
A series of six specialist auctions will be held at Charterhouse in Sherborne from Wednesday, April 3.
The auctions start off with a specialist sale of Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC and other wristwatches on April 3 at 10am.
Later that afternoon at 1pm, there will be nearly 300 lots of vintage bicycles, automobilia and enamel signs.
The next day on Thursday, Charterhouse will auction off pictures and books, followed by sporting items including the Harry Brewer lifetime collection of cricket memorabilia of books, pictures and ceramics.
On Friday, April 5, the auction will have 200 lots of Asian art with ceramics, pictures and bronzes followed by hundreds more lots of antiques and interiors including the residual contents of a 17th century Dorset cottage.
Auctioneer Richard Bromwell said: “This is an accumulation of months of work, and I think we will all need some downtime afterwards.
“The joy of being an auctioneer is the variety of the lots we see from clients all over the west country and beyond who are looking for help and expert advice.”
