A CYCLIST was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a car.

At around 4.55pm on Thursday, March 21, a crash occurred involving a black Hyundai Santa Fe and the cyclist in Dorchester Road at the junction with Ringwood Road in Poole

The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s and from Poole, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Officers investigating the crash are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any dashcam footage to come forward.

Police Constable Joshua Alner, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “This collision occurred at a busy time of day and I would ask any witnesses who saw what happened and have not already spoken to officers to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
