SOME 300 passengers flew to Barbados directly from Bournemouth Airport on an exclusively chartered flight.
Travel agent Hays Travel took the holidaymakers to their tropical cruise in the Caribbean on the ‘door to door’ flight.
Hays Travel staff were on hand at the airport helping passengers navigate their way through the check-in process.
Fully escorted throughout by Hays Travel staff, the two-week cruise is on board P&O Cruises’ newest ship Arvia with highlights including the islands of St Maarten and Antigua.
Hays Travel regional sales manager Jo Bungey was at the airport to greet customers on the day.
She said: “We had a lovely morning with our customers at the airport - there was a real buzz of excitement and it was so nice to be able to wave our customers off in person.”
Hays Travel’s communications and engagement executive Angela Flynn added: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to bring this unique offer of our own direct flights to Barbados from Bournemouth Airport, along with the amazing experience of a P&O Cruises Caribbean cruise.
“This was the last of our exclusive charters for this year but winter 2025 and 2026 are already on sale and selling exceptionally fast, so we advise customers to get in touch now if they’d like some winter sun to look forward to.”
