TWO men in balaclavas smashed the rear windscreen and a window of a stationary car before assaulting one of the women inside.

At around 6pm on Wednesday, February 28, two women were sat in the car in Walton Road, near to the junction with Singleton Drive in Bournemouth

Two men reportedly approached the car and smashed the rear windscreen and rear passenger side window.

The men also opened the front passenger door and kicked one of the women, before the victims were able to drive away from the scene.

Both of the men were wearing balaclavas and one was reported to be wearing a black Trapstar jacket.

Officers investigating this assault and criminal damage incident in Bournemouth are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

Police constable Jake Grant-James, of Bournemouth police, said: “Fortunately neither of the female victims sustained any injuries as a result of this incident, but it must have been a very distressing experience for them.

“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this matter and I am appealing for any witnesses or any motorists who may have captured relevant dashcam footage to please come forward.”
