ARMED police and a helicopter were called to search to find a wanted man ‘making threats to harm himself or police officers’.

Shortly before 6pm yesterday, March 7, Dorset Police received a call from a man making threats to harm himself or any police officers that attended.

The county force sent units, including armed police, and scrambled the NPAS helicopter to find the man, Calum David Anderson.

Anderson was then found in Poole town centre, where it was reported that he was wanted for failing to attend court.

He was arrested and due to appear at court today, Friday, March 8.

Anderson, aged 24 and of Poole, was originally due in court on Wednesday, March 6.
