ONCE upon a time the streets of this borough worked well for all and then common sense vanished without a trace.

It seemed to start when somebody decided to get rid of the attractive roundabouts and replace them with shambolic areas.

They must have been on something when they thought pedestrian crossings were a good idea on the end of roads.

The fact of the matter is that the money spent on this abomination could have been used on special schools, community centres etc which are closing.
