RUBBISH was deliberately scattered across a beach after multiple industrial bins were kicked over.

Piles of rubbish were left strewn across the seafront at Boscombe beach on Monday, March 4.

An ice cream kiosk along the seafront also suffered criminal damage after it was broken into.

Bournemouth Echo:

The kiosk was broken into by smashing a small hole near where the door was securely padlocked.

Takeaway boxes, broken glass bottles and dirty napkins were among the trash.

A Bournemouth resident who discovered the rubbish on their morning walk said: “I walked down for a sunrise, and it was gorgeous then suddenly, as soon as I got past the zig zag, it was just trash everywhere.

“Whoever did it had obviously gone along and knocked them all over, which is weird because they're massive industrial bins.

Bournemouth Echo:

“It couldn't have been easy to tip them over.

“The seagulls were getting into everything and there was broken glass everywhere, it was an absolute mess.

“I saw that the ice cream kiosk also got broken into, It’s terrible.

“It was so sad because it was a beautiful morning.

“One of the bins was filled with glass.

“These two men from BCP Council were cleaning it all up by hand because it was scattered everywhere.”

“Other people that were walking along were all taking pictures as well and talking to the guys and giving them some sympathy.”

The resident added: “I just felt sorry for the people that had to clear it up, really.

“But by the sounds of it, it's one of the many things they have to deal with.”

Seagulls could also be seen surrounding the rubbish that had been left behind near the bins.

Bournemouth Echo:

Tractors were seen working to remove the rubbish from the coastline.

A spokeswoman for BCP Council said: “The Walls kiosk at East Cliff was unfortunately broken into and vandalised during a period between Sunday evening and Monday morning.

“Police have been informed and the kiosk has been secured.

“Several litter bins were also pushed over at some point overnight, but our dedicated beach cleansing team cleared all the litter this morning.”
