MULTIPLE arrests have been made in connection with motorbike and machinery thefts across Dorset. 

A patrol officer stopped two men in a car at Blackwater Junction near Christchurch at around 2pm on February 20. 

Once stopped, officers inspected the vehicle where they found a Cannondale road bike that was believed to be stolen. 

 A 58-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, both from London were both arrested on suspicion of theft at the scene.

Later in the day, another car was stopped in Longham which was carrying several power tools and gardening tools suspected as stolen.

A 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth and a 16-year-old boy from the New Forest area in Hampshire were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen goods.

After receiving further information on stolen motor vehicles, a section 18 search warrant was executed at an address in Arne Crescent in Poole at around 7.55pm on February 20.

Officers recovered several motorbikes suspected to have been stolen.

A 21-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen goods.

All suspected items were seized and now Dorset Police are looking to return them to their rightful owners.

Police Constable Mark Carlton, of Bournemouth police, said: “An investigation is underway into this incident and we are carrying out enquiries into the theft of the items.

“I am issuing images of the stolen items and would ask anyone who has information about who they may belong to please contact us.”
