PART of the A35 will see closures at the end of March for tree repair work.

The trunk road between Bere Regis and Morden Park Corner will be closed in both directions from Monday, March 25, for four nights.

Workmen will be alongside the road cutting back and tidying up the trees, many of which have fallen over in recent months thanks to bad storms.

The closures, which cover approximately 6,530 metres of road, will be in place between 8pm and 6am each night.

Dorchester-based tree surgeons Knighton Countryside Management will be doing the work, and it is expected to last until Thursday, March 29.

Bournemouth Echo: A35 near Bere Regis

A spokesman for Bere Regis Parish Council said: “Knighton Countryside Management will publicise the road closure in a number of ways.

“They will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works, they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network.”

A signed diversion route will be in place via the A350 and A31.
