A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage after a fight broke out on a high street in Poole.
Police were called to Ashley Road in Parkstone at 4.40pm yesterday, Monday, February 19, to reports of a fight.
When officers arrived, those involved had left the scene.
However, another report was received by the county force that one of the men had returned to the area and damaged the window of an address in the road.
A 22-year-old man was then arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He has been released on police bail.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at approximately 4.40pm on Monday 19 February 2024 of a fight in Ashley Road in Poole.
“Officers attended the scene, but those reportedly involved had left the area.
“A further report was received that one of the men had returned and damaged the window of an address in Ashley Road.
“A 22-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and released on police bail while enquiries continue.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and to identify those believed to be involved.”
