I AM writing in support of the protestors to our ridiculously anti-car councils attempt to ban cars in Poole Park.
I too have lived here all my life and well remember the old 8 MPH speed limit which was very difficult to keep to!
They are not allowed to charge for parking in the park thank goodness, so I can understand them delaying opening for cars to prevent abuse. But to ban cars altogether is simply scandalous!
Like so many others I often go out of my way to leisurely drive through the park and the local authority should realise that everyone who does that is one less car on our congested roads.
