WHOEVER decided to even suggest a tourist tax would be a good idea, has not really investigated how it has impacted in other countries.
My wife and I travel regularly to many parts of the world with Barbados being our favourite. Since the introduction of the tax a good many countries have seen a fall in tourism.
Someone has to pick up the tab with the hotel industry already hit by declining tourists, forced to charge more.
My bet is the individual/s who suggested this tax is the same people who decided to build on the car parks in BCP.
