A PUB has had a “significant transformation” following a £300,000 renovation.

St Peter’s Finger in Dorchester Road, Lytchett Minster, has had a fresh colour scheme and new furniture to “enhance its charm and character”.

Owned by Blandford-based Hall & Woodhouse, the pub now boasts brand-new cosy nook, the garden room, featuring plenty of greenery and making a feature of new double French doors.

The new outdoor space at St Peter’s Finger is double the size of the previous terrace and is covered by four large umbrellas, making it a usable spot all year round.

The entrance to St Peter’s Finger is now framed with a new oak pergola and is complemented by new lighting while the lawn garden has seen improvements.

Rumen Yordanov, general manager of St Peter’s Finger, said: “We are really proud of our new look at the St Peter’s Finger.

“The recent renovations elevate the experience our locals and regulars know and love. Our new terrace and outdoor space are bound to be popular spaces for the community to enjoy the sunshine, and we can’t wait to see families and friends alike make use of it over the coming months.”

Matt Woodhouse, regional manager at Hall & Woodhouse, said: “We are committed to providing a warm experience at all of our pubs where regulars and visiting guests feel welcome and at home.

“Our recent renovation at the St Peter’s Finger has delivered an impressive new look to the local favourite, while paying homage to its much-loved traditional features, making this gorgeous spot for Sunday lunch and a meal with family even more beautiful.”

Hall & Woodhouse is an independent family firm brewing award winning Badger Ales and Outland Beers and runs an estate of pubs across the south.

Founded in 1777 by Charles Hall, a Dorset farmer, who opened a Brewery in the village of Ansty, more than 60 years on, his son Robert (who inherited the brewery) brought Edward Woodhouse into the business as his commercial partner.

Edward fell in love with, and married, Charles Hall’s granddaughter Hannah Dodge. Hall & Woodhouse was then born.

After more than 245 years, the company remains family owned, with Anthony Woodhouse and Mark Woodhouse both in the business as the current seventh generation stewards.
