A THREE vehicle crash brought the A338 to a standstill last night.

Three cars crashed on the southbound carriageway, about three miles south of Ashley Heath Roundabout, at around 7pm on Thursday, February 8.

The road was blocked following the crash however nobody was injured.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, including police and the fire service, who sent two fire engines to the scene.

The vehicles were recovered and police left the road at around 9.30pm.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 7.04pm on Thursday 8 February 2024 of a three-vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway of the A338, around three miles south of the Ashley Heath Roundabout.

"It was reported the road was blocked.

"Officers attended with the ambulance service, no reports of any injuries.

"The vehicles were recovered and police left the scene at around 9.30pm."

A spokeswoman for DWFRS said: "We were called to an RTC on the A338 Ashley Heath roundabout at 7.22pm yesterday.

"One fire engine from Springbourne attended along with a Hampshire & IOW crew from Ringwood and on arrival found three private motor vehicles involved.

"There was one female casualty who was walking wounded and crews assisted with casualty care and scene safety.  

"The stop came in at 8.13pm and the crews left the incident at 8.30pm."
