TWO people have been arrested after a man was assaulted in Wimborne.

At around 6.40pm on Monday, February 5, a man in his 40s, was assaulted in an unprovoked attack by teenagers outside Co-op in Crown Mead, Wimborne.

He was taken to hospital for treatment of head and facial injuries.

Following a witness appeal, a 13-year-old boy from Wimborne and an 18-year-old man of no fixed abode have both been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both men have been released on bail whilst the investigation continues.
