ELEVEN vehicles were damaged after a fire broke out at a car garage in Sherborne.
Six fire crews from Wincanton, Yeovil, Sherborne, and Sturminster Newton tackled a large late-night fire.
Specialist equipment was used to extinguish the fire and no one was injured in the blaze.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We were called to Hound Street, Sherborne at 10.02pm on 3 February for a fire involving vehicles in a car port.
“Six fire crews attended, from Sherborne (x2), Yeovil (x2), Wincanton, and Sturminster Newton, and two breathing apparatus wearers, two hose reel jets, a main jet, and compressed air foam were used to extinguish the fire, with the stop at 11.40pm.
“The car port was within a garage block, the fire was contained to that area, with three vehicles destroyed.
"Four adjacent vehicles were badly damaged, and four outside were partly damaged."
The cause of the fire is unknown.
