A STAPLE high street store has announced its closure for later this year.
Boots in Parkstone has announced it will close its doors towards the end of April.
The announcement comes after Boots released a list of stores across the county that are also closing.
The franchise plans to cut 300 stores across the UK.
The sign posted on the front door of the shop says: " Sadly, this store will be closing down on April 27.
"Please speak to a team member who can assist you in transferring your prescriptions to an alternative pharmacy."
Ashley Road in Parkstone has also been the subject of conversation after Co-op decided to close down to make way for Makkah Foods, an international fresh food retailer.
The existing Makkah Foods shop is also changing its business to welcome ' Mak Burga', a restaurant that is expected to open in the summer.
Clothing retailer Peacocks will be closing its branch on Ashley Road in Boscombe, on April 6.
Peacocks, in the Sovereign Shopping Centre, has put up signage across its shopfront window warning customers of the final date.
The nearest pharmacy for residents will now be Bryant's Pharmacy on 462 Ashley Road.
Alternatively, the nearest Boots store is at the Redlands Estate retail park in Branksome.
The Daily Echo contacted Boots for more information, but the franchise refused to comment.
