A CLOTHING store in Boscombe is set to shut its doors as it announces spring closure.

Peacocks, in the Sovereign Shopping Centre, has splashed signage across the shopfront window warning customers of the final date.

The store is set to shut on April 6, with the closest Peacocks to be on Ashley Road in Poole.

Both Wilko and GAME also announced the closure of their stores from the shopping centre last year.

As well as Poole, Peacocks also has stores in Dorchester, Weymouth, and Bridport.

The retailer was first founded in 1884 and established itself as a ‘value-for-money’ shop for customers.

The closure comes soon after homeware retailer, Lakeland, shut its doors in Bournemouth retail park, Castlepoint.

The Echo has contacted Peacocks and the Sovereign Shopping Centre for more information.
