Hunting around a car boot sale for a bargain is very much a traditional weekend pastime in England, but in most cases they have had a break from happening in the last few months due to winter weather.

However, around various locations in Dorset, some will be starting up again very soon, whilst some are still a couple of months away.

Whether you're looking for something in particular or hoping to find the next deal of the century, visiting a car boot sale is still very popular.

Here are a few places that you can visit in 2024 around the county.

When will Dorset car boot sales return in 2024?

Poole Stadium Car Boot Sale

Poole Stadium's car boot sale will be back underway very soon, with the first one of the year taking place on Sunday, February 4.

Sellers get access to the site from 10am on the day and according to its Facebook post there is no need to book.

It costs sellers £7 per vehicle, buyers £1 per vehicle and no dogs are allowed on the site.

Dorchester Car Boot Sale

Dorchester Car Boot Sale is already back underway for 2024, having had its first event of the season on Sunday, January 21.

Taking place at Dorchester Market every Sunday they are open from 6.30am for sellers and 7am for buyers.

The events run until 12.30pm with a single pitch costing £8 and a double pitch costing £15.

Additionally, they have indoors, outdoors and undercover pitches, plus it is dog-friendly.

Farmer Palmer’s Car Boot Sale

Car boot sales at Farmer Palmer's Farm Park in Poole are still a few months away from starting, as they will run from April 30 to October 29 in 2024.

Gates open from 7am for sellers who have a charge of £7 per vehicle, whilst buyers can access the site from 7.30am and have free entry.

On its Facebook event page, it says: "One of Dorset’s favourite family-run car boot sales is back for 2024! Whether you are buying or selling, you can bop along to the wonderful music from the team at Marie Curie, have great coffee and food from Willy Hubbs Kitchen, and explore lots of lovely stalls for you to grab a bargain!"

Ashley Heath Car Boot Sale

According to their Facebook page, the Ashley Heath Car Boot Sale will return on Sunday, March 17, weather permitting.

It has previously taken place at Homeland Farm in Wimborne, and sellers have been advised in the past to arrive from 6.30 am onwards.
