A BOURNEMOUTH woman has run the entire South West Coast Path in an ‘exceptional challenge’ for charity.

Felicity Hooper ran a total of 630 miles with 115,000ft elevation, setting off from Minehead in Somerset and ending up at South Haven Point in Studland.

The challenge raised money for two charities: The Bike Project – which donates bikes to refugees and asylum seekers - and Diverse Abilities, which supports children and adults with disabilities.

Felicity raised an incredible £2,263 plus a further £549 donated by her employer Investec Wealth and Investment.

Felicity said: “I wanted to raise money for Diverse Abilities as my brother has mild learning difficulties and has used their services in the past.

“I know how important it is to have the right support and the right access to education for individuals and their families.

"I love the fact that the charity’s ethos is to enable the people they support to achieve their full potential.”

Diverse Abilities is encouraging individuals and groups to ‘do something amazing’ and create their own event or challenge in support of the charity.
