POLICE are becoming “increasingly concerned” for the welfare of a missing Bournemouth man.

Daniel Farnsworth’s disappearance has been described as “out of character” by police.

The 49-year-old was last seen in the town on Friday, January 19.

A subsequent sighting has been reported of Daniel in the Bath Road area on the morning of Tuesday, January 23.

Police say it is believed he may be travelling in his vehicle, a white Peugeot 207 which has the registration SV61 ZVD.

Enquiries indicate he may have travelled to the Southampton area.

Daniel is described as around five feet eleven inches tall and of medium build with short white or grey hair. It is believed he may be wearing a cotton hooded top and tracksuit bottoms.

Inspector Jon Wasey, of Dorset Police’s Missing Person Support Team, said: “Daniel’s disappearance is out of character for him, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding Daniel’s whereabouts to please contact us, and I would also ask anyone who comes across the white Peugeot detailed above to please report it to Dorset Police immediately.

“Finally, I would like to make a direct plea to Daniel if you see this to please make contact with us or your loved ones and let us know where you are. We all just want to ensure that you are all right.”
