WHILST historically enjoying informative beautifully shot wildlife programmes, I am appalled at the gratuitous filming of animals tearing their pray apart or gorging on a dead carcass as per Winterwatch filmed in Dorset and shown this week.
Give us credit to know that lions feed on zebra, foxes will eat dead deer etc, without the continual need to show this in all its gory graphic gratuitous detail.
We humans inflict enough harm on each other which is portrayed graphically most evenings, without the need to have the blatantly obvious natural feeding habits we have long known being shown in minuscule detail just to fill some air time.
Educate me, show me some wondrous animals and their habitats, entertain me, champion animal welfare, but, don’t subject me to the above!
