A BUSINESS has started 2024 off with a bang after it was nominated for two national awards.

@Taxd has been shortlisted in two categories at the Business Awards UK, for the best B2C tech award and fintech startup of the year award.

The best B2C tech award recognises ‘a fintech company that has made a remarkable impact in the business-to-consumer market’.

It also recognises a business that has ‘developed outstanding products or services for individual clients’.

The fintech startup of the year is given to a ‘promising newcomer’.

It is awarded for a business that shows ‘great potential, ingenuity, and market disruption capabilities’.

The management team of the Bournemouth-based online tax filing company, Arjun Kumar, James Green, and Eamon Shahir, celebrated the business’s hard work in receiving the nominations.

The prestigious awards recognise the top businesses in the industry.

Every applicant goes through a ‘stringent’ judging process, from a panel of ‘highly qualified and experienced’ judges from across a range of industries.

Arjun Kumar and Eamon Shahir, co-founders and co-CEOs of the company, said: “We are ecstatic about this incredible news and could not be prouder of our team.

“Our goal has been to improve the understanding and simplify the tax process for individuals and businesses across the UK and the world, and this is a true testament that we are on the right track.

“No matter the outcome of the awards, we are incredibly grateful to have gotten to this stage and proud of what we have accomplished so far. And, have the chance to support thousands more individuals this January with their tax filing needs."

The pair added: “We would also like to congratulate all other shortlisted candidates, and wish them the very best of luck.”

Award winners will be announced on February 2.
