A FIVE-star hotel will open its second restaurant in 2024.

The Nici, in West Hill Road, Bournemouth, has announced the appointment of its new managing director along with new culinary staff as it plans to open a new restaurant in the summer.

The restaurant will be called Harry Rocks and will be a new poolside restaurant, which the hotel said would be relaxed, offering 'alfresco lunches', which it said would 'prove itself as a standalone destination hotspot'.

Lukasz Dwornik has been named as the new MD for The Nici Group after nearly two decades in the industry, joining from Harbour Hotels.

He said: “I am thrilled to join The Nici as managing director, contributing to its evolution as a prominent force in Bournemouth's hospitality landscape.

“Having started my career in Dorset, I am excited to further establish the hotel, driving tourism and providing fantastic facilities for locals to enjoy.

“Together with the newly appointed senior team, we are committed to redefining luxury on the south coast.”

The hotel has also appointed Dominic South and Ian Gibbs to the positions of executive chef and head chef.

The pair will aim to elevate the hotel’s South Beach Bar and Restaurant menus, before the opening of Harry Rocks.

Richard Warr has also been added to the role of group food and beverage director, while Christopher Drodge will oversee the operations and day-to-day running of the hotel.
