AN ELDERLY woman has been taken to hospital after a crash in the centre of Ringwood.
The woman, aged in her 80s, was involved in a single vehicle crash in Southampton Road.
The crash involved a red Honda Civic which was being driven by the woman.
Hampshire and Dorset and Wiltshire firefighters were called to the incident at 1.37pm on Tuesday, January 16.
The fire service released one casualty from the vehicle who was then passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.
Emergency services closed the roads surrounding the major incident, but they were reopened just after 3pm.
A witness reported seeing two ambulances, four fire engines, and four police cars on the scene.
Congestion was reported in the area as a result of the crash.
