Spots in Dorset and the New Forest have been named among the best UK couples' retreats for a romantic staycation in 2024.

Summer Lodge in the village of Evershot and Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa in Brockenhurst were included among the 18 spots in the list from Red Magazine.

In their article, it says: "To help you find the right weekend break for you and your other half, we've selected a few wonderful places that will allow you to escape, spend quality time together and experience beautiful surroundings along the way."

"From the moment we arrived we were greeted with outstanding hospitality, friendly faces and a warm welcome."

Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa

Much praise was given to Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa by Red Magazine, who wrote: "If you and your love are seeking a couples' retreat that encourages you to reconnect with nature, let us introduce you to Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa.

"Nestled in the tranquil New Forest National Park, the surrounding area of beauty and stunning gardens are reason enough to visit."

Elsewhere, the "award-winning SenSpa" was mentioned with its various Thai-inspired treatments, herbal sauna, hydrotherapy pool and crystal steam room.

Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa has also been well-received on Tripadvisor, earning a score of 4.5/5 based on 3,702 reviews.

One person wrote: "We had a beautiful stay at this beautiful place. Our room was smart and simple and the food and wine was great.
