VOLUNTEERS are being sought by the National Trust in Purbeck.

The trust wants to hear from people who love being outdoors and have some spare time or enthusiasm to offer.

Volunteer roles could involve helping rangers take care of heathland, inspiring the next generation to consider the marine environment at Studland Bay, or bringing history to life for visitors at Corfe Castle.

Tom Clarke, senior volunteering and community manager in Purbeck, said: “Our volunteers help is vital to us here in Purbeck. We’ll get you out in some amazing places so why not give it a go? Don’t worry if it’s completely new to you – if you’ve got the enthusiasm, we’ll give you the help you need to feel confident in your role.”

All volunteers will receive full training.

An event for those interested in volunteering takes place at 10am on Saturday, January 20, at Castle View, Corfe Castle.

The event is free, but tickets are required.

Those interested can email purbeck@nationaltrust.org.uk or visit nationaltrust.org.uk/support-us/volunteer for further details.
