BUSES and trains will be running to changed timetables as we head towards near year.
Many of us will be using public transport to get around over the next few days to get to work, celebrate with friends or visit loved ones.
If you will be one of them, here’s the latest bus and train timetables for you.
Morebus
Saturday, December 30 – normal Saturday service on all routes
New Year’s Eve – Normal Sunday service on all routes. There will be no service on routes that don’t usually run on a Sunday. Morebus said an extra journey will run on the 5a at 12.30am.
New Year’s Day – Sunday services will apply on routes 1a, 1b, 1c, 3, 4, 5, 5a, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 22, 25, 26, 40, X3, X8 with special timetables on the m1/m2 and 50., No other services will operate.

Tuesday, January 2 – Normal timetables will resume across all routes.
South Western Railway
Saturday 30 September - A revised Saturday timetable will operate
New Year’s Eve - A revised Sunday timetable will operate
New Year’s Day - Extra services will run between midnight and 0500. Trains will then run to a revised Sunday timetable
Tuesday, January 2 - A normal service will run
CrossCountry
The rail operator has issued a warning to passengers travelling on Sunday, December 31.
CrossCountry says: "Please be aware that services will finish earlier than usual on New Year's Eve over the holiday period. We are also expecting that some services may be subject to cancellations or changes to planned timetables.
“We are expecting services to be extremely busy.”
