DRINK prices at a number of Wetherspoon pubs in Dorset are to be slashed in the new year.

Managers at all of east Dorset's seven Wetherspoon pubs are reducing the prices of drinks and meals from Tuesday, January 2 until Wednesday, January 17 inclusive.

The drinks features in the sale are draught beers and ciders (Doom Bar, Bud Light, Worthington's, Stowford Press Apple Cider and Budweiser), spirits (AU vodka (four flavours) and Sidemen XIX Vodka (mixed berry) and classic cocktails (Espresso Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri and Tommy's Margarita).

There will also be price cuts to Corona Tropical hard seltzers (raspberry & lemon and guava & lime) and a range of soft drinks (Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max, R. White's lemonade, Pepsi Max cherry) and Lavazza coffee, with free refills, as well as tea and hot chocolate.

Food prices are set to be cut, too, including a selection of burgers costing £7.49 with a soft drink and £9.18 with an alcoholic drink.

Small breakfasts, meanwhile, will cost £3.99.

The Moon in the Square manager, Quique Medina Saura, said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too.

"The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.

"This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.

"I believe that the January sale will prove popular with our customers.

"As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."

The participating pubs are The Moon in the Square and The Mary Shelly in Bournemouth town centre, Parkstone and Heatherlands in Winton, The Man in the Wall in Wimborne, The Blackwater Stream in Broadstone and The Lord Wimborne and The Quay in Poole.
