A MAN has been left with a broken jaw after being kicked in the head in a street attack.

A hunt has been launched for three men in their 20s following a violent attack in Wimborne town centre.

The victim, in his 40s, was followed by the trio as he walked away from Wimborne Kebab House in Crown Mead.

A fight erupted when he reached High Street on the corner of the square close to Café Aroma, according to reports made to police.

The victim, from Ferndown, fell to the ground and was then kicked in the head by the group.

He went to hospital following the attack that is believed to have happened between 1am and 2am on Saturday, December 16.

The offenders are described as white and in their early 20s.

One was wearing a brightly coloured hoodie with writing on it. Another was wearing a green hoodie and the third man is believed to have been wearing something grey.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detective constable Neil Hooker, of Dorset Police CID, said: “I believe several members of the public came to help the victim and I am appealing for them to please come forward as they may have information that could help our investigation.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone else who may be able to identify the offenders or was at the location and witnessed what happened.

“Anyone who has dashcam fitted or anyone with CCTV in the area is urged to check whether they may have captured anything of relevance.”
