CHANGES will be made to bin collections in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole after Christmas day.

Catch-up collections will run from Wednesday, December 27 to January 13, with some collections taking place on Saturdays.  

BCP Council has released a full list of all the changes made and is reminding residents to put their bins out by 5am on their revised collection day.

The revised dates are as follows:

Monday, December 25 collection will happen on Wednesday, December 27 

Tuesday, December 26 collection will happen on Thursday, December 28 

Wednesday, December 27 collection will happen on Friday, December 29 

Thursday, December 28 collection will happen on Saturday, December 30 

Friday, December 29 collection will happen on Tuesday, January 2 

Monday, January 1 collection will happen on Wednesday, January 3 

Tuesday, January 2 collection will happen on Thursday, January 4 

Wednesday, January 3 collection will happen on Friday, January 5 

Thursday, January 4 collection will happen on Saturday, January 6 

Friday, January 5 collection will happen on Monday, January 8 

Monday, January 8 collection will happen on Tuesday, January 9 

Tuesday, January 9 collection will happen on Wednesday, January 10 

Wednesday, January 10 collection will happen on Thursday, January 11

Thursday, January 11 collection will happen on Friday, January 12 

Friday, January 12 collection will happen on Saturday, January 13 

There will be no rubbish, food (for Bournemouth and Christchurch) or recycling bin collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. 

Any extra rubbish and recycling can be taken to the recycling centres in Longham, Christchurch, or Poole every day except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. They will be closing early at 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
