MORE than £200 worth of alcohol has been stolen from a Waitrose supermarket.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak with in connection with the incident in Lymington.

The incident happened at the store in Stanford Road shortly before 8am on Wednesday, November 22. Police said the alcohol was concealed in plastic bags before being taken from the store without payment.

The man is described as white, aged approximately 55-60 years with dark hair, an unshaven face and of scrawny build. 

He is short, approximately 5ft 3ins to 5ft 4ins tall. 

He was wearing a Somerset council high-visibility vest and a fur-lined hat. 

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We believe the man in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.

“Also, if you have any information about this incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
