RESIDENTS are being invited to put their questions to the leader of BCP Council.

Cllr Vikki Slade will be answering questions from residents on any subject during a live Q&A session.

The session will be broadcast at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 29.

Cllr Slade said: “This Q&A comes at a time when we are facing a challenging economic environment on a scale we’ve never experienced before.

“We are not alone in this – we are dealing with the same tough financial pressures as all other local authorities.

“Earlier this week we launched our budget consultation, enabling residents to have their say on our saving proposals before any decisions are made for setting next year's balanced budget.

“I welcome the chance to talk about this consultation and how are managing the situation by working with officers, members, stakeholders and residents to do what’s best to provide essential services to support the most vulnerable in our society, keep our communities clean and safe, and maintain core infrastructure.”

Questions can be submitted in advance via LiveQandA@bcpcouncil.gov.uk or through comments on BCP Council’s social media posts.

There will also be the opportunity for people to ask questions during the Q&A within the comments section and have them answered in real-time.

The session will be broadcast across the council’s main social media channels including on youtube.com/bcpcouncil and is available to watch later for those unable to tune in live.
