AN ANIMAL rescue centre says it has been “blown away” after being inundated with hundreds of dog food donations.

As reported in the Daily Echo earlier this week, Margaret Green Animal Rescue issued an urgent appeal for food as it deals with an unprecedented number of rescue dogs.

Its Lincoln Farm team in Winterborne Kingston has been getting through 140 tins of dog food every week.

Posting on social media, Margaret Green Animal Rescue said: “We have been absolutely blown away by the incredible number of dog food donations we have received as a result of our appeal last week.

“The team at Lincoln Farm are overwhelmed and so grateful for the phenomenal support you have all shown us.

“From hundreds of Amazon parcels to donations being dropped into the centre, we are astounded by everyone's kindness and generosity. “ The charity said people had “filled our shelves with food and our hearts with love” and could not thank everyone enough for helping to feed the rescue dogs in its care.

The charity added: “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your continued support.”
