AN OFF licence worker was ‘racially abused’ by a woman who she believed was shoplifting.
Two women went into the Nisa store in Stanpit Road, Christchurch, where a staff member thought they were stealing an item.
When one of the women was challenged outside, police say a second woman hurled racist abuse at the shop worker.
Police are now investigating the incident, which happened at around 5pm on Monday, October 23, and have released images of a woman they would like to speak to.
Police constable Susannah Justice, of Bournemouth police, said: “Dorset Police takes all reports of hate crime very seriously and we are conducting a number of enquiries to identify the woman responsible.
“I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of a woman I would like to identify as part of our investigation, and I would urge anyone who recognises her to please contact us.”
