THE BIANNUAL Poole Pottery auction takes place this weekend.

The auction will be held on Saturday, October 28, at Cottees Auctions in Mannings Heath Road, Poole.

The only dedicated Poole Pottery auction has now been running since the mid-1970s.

For this auction, auctioneers have had consigned some major pieces for all eras of Poole Pottery’s long and varied production.

Included in the sale is an exceptionally rare and hard to find Harold Stabler Q pattern vase decorated with a bird originally appraised on Antiques Roadshow in 1998.

This will be together with an unrivalled collection of more than 100 pieces of 1960s studio pieces from the estate of Jean and David Sleight.

Another piece is a monumental F pattern Art Deco vase decorated by Ruth Pavely that stands at 16 inches.

All items will be going under the hammer from 10am from the saleroom.
