A REBRANDED café with a ‘new style, new food, and new drinks’ – Café 89 is Trader of the Week.
Found within The Range in Bournemouth, this in-store café serves up breakfasts, snacks, sandwiches, cakes, and drinks for shoppers.
Until recently, the café was known as DeeDee’s, but owners decided to give it a complete revamp to become Café 89.
Not only has the café got a completely new look, but its food and drink offerings have also been entirely switched up.
Neil Crossey, who manages The Range in Bournemouth, said: “It has been rebranded for Café 89, which represents the year The Range was established.
“We wanted to give it an Italian and French look, with an English breakfast twist.
“The décor has all been re-done and it is very inviting”.
A number of photographs of the owner of The Range, Christopher Dawson, have also been placed around the café as part of the new design.
Neil said: “We’ve got pictures of the owner from when he first started off as a market store, to how he’s moved forward now.”
Café 89 officially launched on Friday, September 29, welcoming new and old customers in for a first glimpse at the changes.
The Range also hosted a competition ahead of the grand-opening, seeing one lucky shopper walk away with a £200 gift card to spend in store.
Neil described how Café 89 has “opened with style”.
He added: “It’s been open now for a few weeks, the reaction from customers has been great.
“They’re really loving the décor and the ambience. All and all, it has been very good.
“The new customers are enjoying it, and the ones we had before.”
Customers are also being impressed by the café’s new and cheaper breakfast offerings.
Neil added: “At the moment we’re doing full English breakfasts for £3.99, and also vegetarian breakfasts for £3.99. That is a very good price for an English breakfast.
“Or you can get a large breakfast – which is very large – for £5.99.”
