A number of pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Age - Four years old (approx.)

Breed - Lurcher crossbreed

Colour - White/Tan

Jack is a dog who is looking for a new home after finding himself in the care of the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

The centre does not have a lot of history on him but has said once he gets to know people he can be very friendly.

He walks well on a lead but will pull after wildlife if he spots it, so as a result he is used to wearing a muzzle.

Although Jack can be sociable with other dogs, he prefers females in his company to males.

He would need a home with a secure garden, free from cats and other small animals.

Ziggy

Ziggy came into the care of the RSPCA along with a few other pets due to a welfare concern.

He is described as "quite a shy boy" but is slowly settling into the cattery.

Ziggy is looking for a quiet home where he can take the time to get used to his surroundings and bond with his new family.

He has previously lived with other cats and dogs, so this will be considered if there is a suitable match.

Additionally, he is not to be rehomed within five miles of Bournemouth (BH11).

Mouse and Bell

Gender - Female

Age - Nine years old (approx.)

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Black (Bell) and Tabby (Mouse)

If you want to adopt Mouse and Bell you can view their full profile here.

Mouse and Bell arrived at the centre due to their owner's ill health and are now looking to find a new place together.

They are mother and daughter (Bell is the mum) and are a very well-bonded pair as they love to spend lots of time with each other.

Bell is more confident than Mouse and will enjoy lots of attention, whilst Mouse is a little shy and may find comfort in finding a safe place to hide if she hasn't got her mum there with her.

They are looking for a quiet home where they may get used to children 10 years and older.

Additionally, they are not to be rehomed within five miles of Burton (BH23).
