Four people have been locked up for their involvement in a drugs supply chain running between Bournemouth and London.

A gang has jailed for a total of almost 15 years for selling heroin and crack cocaine.

Police raided homes in the Harrow area of London seizing cash and mobile phones.

Officers were then able to link them to a drug network in the Bournemouth area.

Suleyman Azami, aged 23, Michael Connors, aged 34, Zakaria Warsame, aged 29, and Cheryl Watts, aged 38, all appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court to be sentenced on Thursday, September 28.

Warsame was jailed for six years and two months, Azami for five years and six months, meanwhile, Connors and Watts were both jailed for three years.

All four admitted to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Azai and Warsame also pleaded guilty to possessing criminal property.

The charges resulted out of an investigation into a drugs line, given the codename Rocco, between the capital and Bournemouth between April and July 2022.

Police Constable Ellie Meteau, of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, said: “We continue to relentlessly pursue those involved in the supply of illegal drugs through county lines networks operating in our communities.

“Through this operation we were able to identify individuals involved in the supply chain and take proactive action to arrest them and seize evidence linking them to their criminal activities.

“We will continue to take robust action against those dealing drugs in our communities as we strive to protect vulnerable people and take weapons off our streets.

“We would urge anyone with information regarding drug related activity in their area to report it to Dorset Police via www.dorse.police.uk or by calling 101. If a crime is in progress, always dial 999.”
