A BOURNEMOUTH pub has unveiled its new look following a six-figure overhaul.

The Cranleigh pub re-opened on Monday having undergone major renovation works to its interior and exterior.

Greene King says it has ‘revitalised the existing site’ and given it a ‘brand-new look and feel’.

The pub in Clingan Road closed its doors on Monday, September 4, for the work to start.

Inside, the space had a complete makeover, with the addition of new décor and furnishings to create a ‘funky and fresh feel’ whilst keeping a traditional pub vibe.

Structural changes were made to maximise the existing space and increase covers by 45.

Some walls were removed for an open-plan layout and the old bar was replaced by a new larger one with a feature barrel in the centre.

Outside, the garden was extended to increase covers from 73 to 156, allowing guests access to two new seating areas with 'comfortable soft furnishings, mood lighting and heating'.

As well as getting a new look, The Cranleigh has also been re-opened as a Greene King, having formally operated as a Hungry Horse site.

The change means there is a new food menu, as well as a revamped drinks menu with brand-new cocktails.

The investment has also provided a number of job opportunities with the team expanding from ten to 40.

Shaun Taylor, general manager of The Cranleigh, said: “The revamp has brought a whole new lease of life to the pub, and we’re confident that customers will love our improved facilities, menu and more for an even better drinking and dining experience than ever before.

“The Cranleigh will remain a pillar in the local community that we have always been and look forward to welcoming both new and old customers to try out our new offering.”

The Cranleigh re-opened on Monday, October 2, with a grand opening which featured a stilt walker, fire eaters, a magician and live music.
